brown mackie collegeBrown Mackie College at Cincinnati is a small two-year, private for-profit school with 1,950 students enrolled. The Brown Mackie College system of schools has a long history that extends back to the late 1800s. The system began as a single school, Kansas Wesleyan School of Business, which began operation on Sept. 12, 1892. In 1938, the school was incorporated as The Brown Mackie School of Business under the ownership of Mr. Perry E. Brown and Mr. A.B. Mackie, former instructors at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas. In following years, this school and others that were to become part of the Brown Mackie College system of schools were operated by numerous organizations and eventually were united as a system under the parent company of American Education Centers (AEC), founded in 1993 and headquartered in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
